Modular Design
offers Freedom of Choice

RATIONALE

The Medacta Mecta-C Stand Alone Interbody Fusion Device offers a MODULAR design that incorporates the benefits of an anterior plate and a radiolucent interbody spacer. To accommodate specific anatomical requirements and pathologies, the correct implant can be selected intraoperatively among eight different configurations, giving the surgeon a complete freedom of choice!

1-click construct  Assembly:

Easy intraoperative assembly through the dedicated instrumentation
Create an indication-specific interbody fusion device
One cage fits in four plate configuration

1 Cage, 2 Designs, 4 Plate options = 8 different configurations

FLUSH

Minimal impact, reduced tissue irritation.

HYBRID

Design for C2-C3 or C7-T1. Reduced impingement with the anatomical structures.

TRIO

Higher Stability with a limited number of screws.

QUATTRO

Improved Stability and Torsional Resistance. Convergent/divergent screws minimize the adjacent level interference in multilevel fixation.

Two different options allow the surgeons to select the one that will best suit their patients' needs.

RIGID FIXATION

  • Locking Screw & Threated Plate for a rigid fixation of the construct
  • One Step  needed to lock the construct
  • Intrinsic Antibackout System

VARIABLE FIXATION

  • Lag Screw & Unthreaded Plate to allow Micro-Motion and proper load distribution according to the Wolff's law[1]
  • Easy insertion of the Central Antibackout Screw to safely fix the lag screw
  • Physiological-like support that may lead to a stable configuration

SCREW ANGULATION

Divergent & convergent screws combination helps to:

  • provide stability and increased pull-out strength
  • enhanced in-sity primary stability

LATERAL VIEW

The horizontal screw angulation helps to minimize the bendings moments and to prevent  derotation and possible screw back out.

Designed for easy screw insertion with free hand technique

Dedicated instruments and implants variety provide proper hole preparation and screw insertion.

The instruments are designed to reduce the surgical steps
Coloured coded instruments
guide the surgeons through the intra-op steps
Angled instruments allow an easier insertion in challenging anatomies

KEY FEATURES

3D FIXED VOLUME

Divergent/Convergent screw angles create a fixed secure bone volume of 3D fixation.

Minimize risk of interference
The convergent/divergent trajectories minimize the adjacent level interference in multilevel fixation

CORTICAL SUPPORT

Horizontal angled screws transfer the load completely on the plates to the cortical bone avoiding stress to the cancellous bone.

CLEAR FUSION ASSESSMENT

  • Radiolucent TiPEEK cage
  • Titanium Marker with Limited Image Artefact
  • Accurate reference for Diagnostic Assessment

BONE GRAFT VOLUME
Wide central bone graft area may help to accelerate the occurrence of fusion through the implant.

COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEM

Mecta-C Stand Alone cages are offered with numerous implant heights and footprints ensuring a suitable anterior/posterior support and to cover different patients’ needs

Sterile implants: provide full implants traceability while eliminating the risk of reprocessing!

SYNERGY

CEMENT AND BIOLOGICS

Medacta biologics are made of fully synthetic bone that correspond to the calcium phosphate component of natural bone in chemical composition and crystalline structure.
Medacta offers bioactive, biocompatible biologics representing a suitable bone growth substitute, and can be easily applied directly into the cage.
