Finite Element Analysis results confirm the prosthetic shape for stress optimisation.
They indicate that

  1. Cement mantle must be as uniform as possible and must be at least 1.5 mm thick.
  2. Shape should be as straight as possible.
  3. Cross-section must be as circular as possible.

During its introduction into the medullary canal, the Cone prosthesis shape allows a homogeneous cement compression.
A proximal spacer and a distal centraliser allow for perfect positioning control and provides a continuous cement thickness between femoral stem and cortical bone.
