The femoral stem is designed to be cemented (made in CoCr and highly polished).
It allows for a 1.5 mm minimum thickness of cement mantle and presents:
- A centralized, as straight as possible stem.
- An offset proportional to the used implant size.
- 12/14 taper.
- A reduced neck cross-section (to avoid cup conflict).
- Triangular cross-sections with round shape, thus producing a reduction of peak stresses during stem movement within the cement mantle.
The Cone femoral stems are available in 8 sizes (size 1 to 8) from 140 to 165 mm long (Cervico-diaphyseal angle of 130°).
A lateralised version is also available for sizes 2 to 7 (Cervico-diaphyseal angle of 122.5°).
