Cemented Cone stems were designed in 1994 from clinical results and mechanical finite element analysis in order to reduce loosening risks and to adapt to hip morphological features.
Its tapered design allows to concentrate hoop stresses in the proximal area in order to induce new bone formation and reduce stress-shielding.
The Cone System comprises of a complete line of stem sizes with proportionally sized femoral offset.
